We have composed a holiday deal for all students and employees who want to fly: for 400 euro per week you have a gliding holiday.

We don’t want to make things difficult, but the club is not making money on this deal so we have to make a few things clear:

• Flights: the deal includes 15 flights, it is possible to make more flights which you can buy for the regular DZC fee: € 7.50 per flight.
• Flights: it is our ultimate aim to let you make all the 15 flights. Unfortunately we don’t control the weather or other unforeseen situations. When the weather is too bad we can’t fly, if you make less than 15 flights during the camp we cannot refund anything. Some flights will take longer than others, it all depends on you and the weather (you need thermals to gain height). So we cannot say how long your flights will take and how many you are able to make on a day. In general two or three flights per person per day are possible.
• Transportation: the transfer day of the camp will be Saturday. The price of the camp is calculated for the situation that everybody can carpool. If you want to arrive or depart on other days, the costs and organisation for this will be on you.
• Lodging: we can sleep in tents on the field. You will have to arrange your own tent and needed stuff.
• Breakfast and lunch: every day we will arrange the food and drinks for the day until diner. This is included in the price.
• Diner and the evening: At the end of the day we will have a joint diner. This will often be arranged by ourselves and sometimes we will go out to a restaurant. The costs of the diner and drinks during the evening are not included in the price.
• Insurance: the gliders are expensive. It is possible that they get damaged when serious mistakes are made. This does not happen often, but it is necessary for us to insure you for that. Your general liability insurance does not cover damage on airplanes, so we insure you temporally via the Dutch glider association KNVvL. This temporally insurance can only be used once, so if you have ever been insured before via the KNVvL, please let us know in advance and we will check it.
• Travel insurance: the above described insurance is not a travel insurance. A travel insurance is not included, so if you want this you will have to arrange this yourselves.
• Final note: soaring is a team sport: you cannot fly without the help of others. Even the best pilots need help to get into the air. We expect from all participants of the camp that they participate on the field to make it all possible.
